This bag has been in the works for 6 years! I cut and interfaced the fabric in PA, moved twice (one was clear across the country) and never got back to it! I guess I was just waiting for the right time! This Alison Glass print from 2016 was just calling to be this expandable shoulder tote.
This large bag features a slouchy but durable structure and expands to carry a ton! It stays closed with magnetic snap and a clip for the extending sides. It measures to 12" wide (extends to about 18") x 10" tall x 6" deep. This bag would be perfect for a daily carrier or a carry on bag for travel!
The coordinating mustard color with subtle geometric pattern just spoke to me as the lining for this one. The expandable interior includes a large zipper pocket on each side. The blue glitter vinyl and blue piping add a pop of color to the bag. Who doesn't need a little glitter in your life?
This glitter is smooth on top and covered in a pvc layer in the manufacturing process. It is the type of glitter vinyl used in dinner booths and boat seats. The glitter will not rub off on your things nor will it mess up your house, upset your pets or whatever horrible things are associated with the devil's dust. This glitter vinyl sparkles like ten thousand suns but only from a distance, as it was meant to be seen.
Silver purse feet protect the bottom from the dirt and grime of daily use.
The materials I use are faux leather vinyl and cotton fabrics. The hardware is silver nickel. The bag pattern is the Charlotte City Tote by Swoon Sewing Patterns.
